Felt boxes

Here there is this cute idea for felt box. You can use it just for decoration or to pack something special or to keep something inside.
The pictures that I provide are for A4 size of paper, but you can still play with the size if you want to create something bigger.

A special felt box

Here there is the printable template for this adorable felt box.

Download the template to your computer and print it. Cut out the shape. After that you will use it as a template, so you will cut the same shape from pressed felt. You should cut it twice and for prettier effect use two different colors of felt (preferably the darker one will be the inside one). The decoration of the felt box you can do from felt or you can use buttons or anything else that you like. You can sew or stick with hot silicone the decoration on your felt box. Don't forget that the decoration you should do only on the "outside" piece of felt. What is really important is that the decoration part you should before folding your felt box.

After finished with the decoration you can fold your adorable felt box, put the two pieces of felt one on the other and than start the sewing part of the project. What you have to do is to sew together all the edges of your felt box, as the two pieces of felt are positioned one on the other. The best kind of stitch for this is the "blanket stitch". I would recommend to use pressed felt about 3 mm fat.
